Chicago Booth has created an advanced management program that provides senior level executives and their sponsoring organization with a combination of benefits that no other top business school offers.
The Chicago Booth Executive Institute is composed of 6 one-week sessions taken over the course of one year. Three of these one-week sessions are core sessions that all participants of the program attend together. These non-consecutive weeks focus on critical areas for senior management success: building and executing growth strategies and business leadership. For the remaining three one-week sessions, executives select electives from areas such as finance, marketing and sale, strategy and leadership. These three weeks provide flexible scheduling and the ability to individualize the curriculum to best complement their career goals, professional development needs, and business interests.
This program was designed after a year of talking with more than 300 corporate executives about their development needs. Two critical issues- flexible scheduling and individualized curriculum- were cited time and again. With the
individualized curriculum, the executive is able to focus on the skills needed for the business challenges he/she faces today. With the
flexible format, the executive selects elective courses that best fit their schedule. The non-consecutive week format gives the executive the ability to apply concepts and frameworks between sessions, enhancing job performance and reinforcing the tangible value of the educational experience.
